UC Video Engineer

Carenection, The Health Network, is a complete telehealth enablement solutions provider, supporting over 300 clients nationally. We offer doctors, hospitals and telehealth consumers the opportunity to connect to our infrastructure and a broad variety of partners that can provide consultations, language interpretation, social rounding and other services remotely over video.

We are currently seeking a full-time Video Engineer to support the existing video call center platform as well as new call center initiatives based on new client needs.

Role

Carenection Video Engineers will serve as comprehensive experts in the video products that our company buys, manufactures, and develops. They find solutions to challenges with the products and help work through technical difficulties.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop customer-facing documentation for installation and troubleshooting procedures
  • Develop and maintain internal documentation for cross-training team members
  • Maintain an up-to-date body of knowledge regarding product updates and new technologies
  • Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the IT Manager
  • System administration of the videoconferencing (VTC) infrastructure: bridges, gatekeepers, management suites and endpoints
  • Teleconferencing endpoint configuration (H.323/SIP), implementation and integration
  • Hardware Certification and Support (web collaboration, multimedia, teleconferencing)
  • Install, configure maintain and troubleshoot Telecommunications and Video hardware and software
  • Translate requirements into system design documents, operational procedures and user guides
  • Resolve problems in break/fix situations, including dealing with software and hardware vendor technical support as needed
  • Some travel may be required (Required Experience
    • 2-3 years previous experience in a technical video conferencing position
    • Proven ability to work as part of a team as well as show initiative and ability to work independently
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills
    • Strong documentation skills
    • Demonstrated experience in evaluating and testing current and new software/hardware technology
    • 2-3 years of progressive work experience with Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) including G.711 and G.729 codecs, Digital Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF), H323
    • 1-3 years experience administering, engineering, and supporting Polycom Collaboration infrastructure including but not limited to RMX, DMA, CloudAXIS, Access Director.


    Required Skills

    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Fluency with Polycom DMA, RMX, and Cloud Axis
    • Fluency with Microsoft Lync

    Carenection Support Engineers report directly to the Director of Network Infrastructure.  This position requires you to be in the office per the assigned shift.  Employees will be required to follow and perform other job-related duties requested by their supervisor in compliance with Federal and State Laws.
